Posted on July 9th, 2014

Vastu has become an integral part of the Indian architecture these days. Not only for homes, people consult Vastu experts for their offices too. In fact this has become a new way of going green. How?

Explore different ways:

  • According to Vastu, ‘Green’ colour should be used while setting up a home or an office. Green symbolizes a new start, harmony and quick healing.

  • Vastu indicates that a green and fertile land is good for the building. It adds positive vibes and spreads hope in that area. If you have noticed, there are many business centre in India that have developed green lawns or patch within or around the building. They not only add green quotient to the infrastructure but also spread a sense of optimism.

Most of the serviced offices in India prefer growing trees in the West or South side of the building. Growing trees in the North or East side should be avoided.

  • Plants help in detoxifying the air. Hence, it is advised that some plants be kept inside the office building. They will not only improve the indoor air quality but also keep the indoor environment fresh and green. You have another option. There is a business centre in South Delhi that offers office space in mountain fresh ambience. It is the only one of its kind to offer meeting rooms in India with air-purifying plants and oxygenated air.

  • Vastu also suggests that small lawns with fountains can be developed in East, North and North-EAST side of the building. But it should be with small plants and without tall trees. For offices, North-East side is a better choice for the offices.

Vastu has added different dimension to greenify a building.
